History

FAEC cited itself as a membership association and national farmer organization in Cambodia which was registered officially with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in 2009 aligned with the Law of Association and Non-Governmental Organization (LANGO). Up to now, FAEC has total 65 including 43 agricultural cooperatives, 2 agricultural cooperatives union, 7 self-help groups, 12 farmer associations, 1 fishing community, equals 14,400 individual members, including 8,790 women and 2,784 young farmers, are being registered as the members of FAEC which is covered in 9 provinces (Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampong Thom, Kampong Speu, Takeo, Kampot, Prey veng, Kandal, Svay rieng) of Cambodia.
